Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to see to it that one day the underprivileged and rural folks of marginalised African communities have access to necessary public health facilities and personel for just as much as they can afford. To improve the quality of life of the people in 'abused communities' (like the Niger-Delta area of Nigeria for instance), thereby increasing the life expectancy of major African countries.
It's all part of making a better world.
I want to live in a world where the quality of life and access to good medical and social assistance is not based on one's financial and/or social power; to work with government and non-government agencies towards adopting ans implementing policies that will be aimed at reducing infant and child mortality as well as increasing the life expectancy and quality of living of the people.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by infants and children, women, low to mid-income earners, the poor and underprivileged people as well as rural dwellers.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Increased health quality and life expectancy.
Access to health assessment and assistance in the shortest possible time irrespective of financial aid social class.
Reduced mortality rate of infants and children.
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
The success of my vision and all attendant policies will be measured qualitatively and quantitatively by means of statistical data and record reviews before and after implementation; public opinion and satisfaction assays would also be conducted.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
