Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to see project/program interventions towards developing countries implemented more in a complementary manner than in isolation to optimize the resources allocated towards stages of the projects that can be shared among interventions, thus leaving more resources that can be allocated elsewhere to create more impact.
It's all part of making a better world.
Based on implementing projects in a complementary manner, we will save more resources from the many interventions currently implemented around the world, and we will have more reallocated to create more impact. We will see an improved synergy between different interventions. Opportunities to create impact will be more visible as programs will be able to point each other to ares that need more impact
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by the many development organizations implementing different interventions in developing countries around the world. Funding organizations, fund managers, implementing agencies will need to rethink how to work together in their various programs in terms of resource allocations.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
More interventions to wider context enabled by the surplus resources
Enhanced synergy, organizations/ interventions working more together in programs as opposed to projects as it is at the moment
More people reached, the increased number of people reached, reported through programs
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
More programs as opposed to projects geared towards interventions. Like agriculture and energy interventions working together in kind of a program
Increase in the level of funding more towards programs than individual projects
Adoption of the changes in funding structure in organizational frameworks ie donors funding programs more than individual programs
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
