Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to implement an idea whereby a branch of certain international schools provide the opportunity for intercultural exchange with another school in a third-world country. Students will 'buddy-up' with one from another nation, partially paying for their tuition and engaging with them in a cultural exchange, broadening the horizon of both schools.
It's all part of making a better world.
It will allow many more students access to education. For those with access already available, it should increase the quality. Not only that, but the partnership systems allows for students to engage culturally with one another, experiencing and helping each other break down barriers and broaden their horizon of other lives in the world.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by students in third-world countries currently unable to receive proper education. Students of the supporting school will also have a different experience, and the partnership of the schools (boards, managers) will feel the impact.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Better access to better education world-wide (more people having access)
Exchange and visitations between young students to gain insight into a larger world
change in curriculum to focus on world-issues, not only local ones.
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
To see financial and individual exchange between two partner schools. An increase in student 'sponsorship' through the 'buddy system', and a growth in students attending a specific school in a less to do socio-economic country.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
