Here is your vision for a better world

Well done! You now have a foundation for taking your ideas forward.

Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?

I want to help solve the waste crisis we are facing now, as it has a paramount contribution to the bigger climate change issue our generation is faced with.

It's all part of making a better world.

I would like to considerably limit the production of packaging and single-use products in our society and to greatly improve recycling yields word wide. This way, fewer items which are dangerous for our ecosystems would enter the natural environment and the anthropogenic influence on this planet would be much reduced.

This is really going to help people.

The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by local communities presently endangered by chemicals from burning waste and unsuitable handling of garbage; natural ecosystems which have lost so much in the last decades due to debris, micro plastics and all sorts of packaging entering our oceans, coastal areas and forested land.

It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:

increased recycling yields world wide

zero production of single-use plastics and other items

improved status of species inhabiting endangered ecosystems

I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.

Monitoring figures indicating how much waste is recycled versus thrown to landfill; scientific projects looking at the status of endangered ecosystems; evaluation of welfare of poor communities which currently process in an unsuitable way waste delivered from other countries; interviews with communities which have seen their local environment changing for the worse in the last couple of decades.

Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
