Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to help formulate a more effective aid policy for the UK.
It's all part of making a better world.
Instead of neocolonialism, unsustainable aid and aid dependency, aid and resources given to developing countries will be useful and helpful, felt by those who really need it and dispersed fairly, rather than remaining in the pockets of the powerful and wealthy.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by the average citizen of developing countries. Those who need better access to education, healthcare and support.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Aid is transparent
Aid has a meaningful effect on the lives of many citizens
Aid helps to encourage people to become self sufficient, it is sustainable
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
With the government being able to categorically show where their aid budget has gone, and specifically what it has gone on, and what it has produced.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
