Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?

I want to ensure that refugees fleeing from danger have a place they can call home. These people have been forced to leave their home, their belongings, their culture, their lifestyle, everything in order to ensure safety for them and their families. They should not be punished for this; the world needs to ensure that a safe place can be carved out for them. Every human deserves the right to a home.

It's all part of making a better world.

I want to ensure that the asylum seeking process is made easier and more accessible for refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. It is a very complicated process that relies heavily upon having a good understanding of the system. Many refugees cannot speak English and therefore the proceedings are confusing for them. This largely results in them not receiving the aid that they desperately need.

This is really going to help people.

The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by the refugees and asylum seekers that arrive in this country, along with their families.

It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:

The UK government creating an asylum seeking process that is less complicated, and less dependent on the believability of one’s claim.

The UK government providing more stable assistance to those completing the process.

The feeling for refugees and asylum seekers that they are welcome in this country.

I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.

The level of refugee and asylum seeker successful applications matches those of other European nations.

Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
