Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to end educational equality in the UK, by boulstering historically disadvantaged communities to allow their children to reach top-earning, formerly inaccessible career paths.
It's all part of making a better world.
I hope that this will improve social mobility and eradicate the poverty trap, with wider-reaching effects of improving engagement in democracy and protecting human rights.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by those from lower-income households, as well as other societal groups who have traditionally been disadvantaged by educational inequality, such as the BAME community and the differently able.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Engagement from disadvantaged students in education and careers events.
A greater proportion of state-educated students going into higher education at elite universities.
A reduction in the wealth gap between the richest and the poorest.
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
I will measure the success of my vision by the proportion of state-educated students we reach who go on to higher education, compared with those who we have not reached.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
