Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to develop critical thinking in primary school education. I want the best education for all.
It's all part of making a better world.
This will raise the current standards of education and contribute to the formation of citizen who can think for themselves, participate equally in a democratic society and address creatively the global issues of our time.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by the youth. So the beneficiaries are children, young people and their families in England. The sector of society that is going to benefit from my vision is the educational sector but also the whole society.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Learning will develop critical thinking (rather than mere rote learning)
Learning will be achived through creativity
Children's well being and motivation at school will improve
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
To measure the success of my vision, I will get my vision into action by: 1. creating a group of people (activists, academics, parents, teachers, educationalists) to advocate for educational reforms 2. designing a new educational curriculum integrating creativity and critical thinking. 3. putting pressure on local MPs/ government to bring educational and political change.
