Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?

I want to decentralize policymaking itself to local spaces, giving local governments the framework and necessary capacities to design and implement their own public policies particularly in rural municipalities, opening at the same time, real spaces and opportunities for meaningful involvement to citizens, especially women and youth, which has been historically and structurally excluded of public spaces.

It's all part of making a better world.

We will have a truly inclusive and democratic government, fortifying and solidifying citizen engagement and participation in public affairs, building a strong social capital, which will lead to better outcomes for public policies, aiming at delivering efficient and impactful solutions to public problems.

This is really going to help people.

The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by citizens in a broad sense but, particularly women and youth who have fewer possibilities to influence the decision-making process, likewise, local governments would be strongly impacted as well, they would have the framework and capacities to better implement public policies and enhance the policymaking process itself.

It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:

Increase in public engagement and citizen participation in public affairs

Build the necessary capacities for local governments to deliver effective public policies

Increase of social capital, and fortifying democratic practices and values

I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.

The number of public policies designed and implemented by local rural governments and the number of public engagement and citizen participation in the policymaking process.

Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
