Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to create a world where everyone has equal access to education. Regardless of race, gender, religion, sexuality, and economic background, everyone should have access to free, high quality education.
It's all part of making a better world.
With equal access to education, the world will be a fairer, more accepting place. This would have a lasting impact, since many people do not have the same opportunities later in life because they have not been entitled to the same education as others. This would also allow for everyone to be more well-informed about important topics, thus making it easier to solve more of the world's problems.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by those in less developed countries who not do not have as well funded education systems, as well as minority ethnic groups, women and girls, LGBTQ+, and those from poorer backgrounds. Even in some countries with more advanced, accepting education systems, private schools and universities still favour those from wealthier backgrounds.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Minority groups more widely accepted
Those from wealthier backgrounds have less of an unfair advantage
More well-informed population
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
This would require more funding in the education sector and for countries to work together, especially to help those with less developed education systems. This could be measured by the amount of people from minority groups and poorer backgrounds who complete their education and who continue further study. It would also require laws in some counties to change so that everyone stays in education until 18.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
