Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to create a policy that ensures mental health and the impact it has on the users of any built environment whether residential, hospitality, medical or industrial is taken into account as a primordial aspect of design.
It's all part of making a better world.
Since mental health is taken care of from the very design of any built environment, productivity has risen, stress-related sick days have been reduced and cost of mental health per person has minimised for both employers and government.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by employees, inpatients and outpatients in healthcare facilities and people living in new complexes developed after the enactment of this policy.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Rise in productivity
Manageable of mental healthcare
Diminution of stress-related illnesses
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
Comparing productivity levels, stress levels (from physical and emotional evidence), stress-related illnesses perceived by the users and the cost of paid sick leave for such ailments.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
