Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?

I want to change how the workplace treats women specifically on health related issues such as mensuration and pregnancy. I believe that there should be equity in our corporate societies and women should not be penalized either expressly or by implication when they choose to have a family or experience health issues that are specific to them.

It's all part of making a better world.

I want to be part of the agents that make the work place more equitable for women. I want to create a society that supports both men and women to pursue their career goals in a cordial and safe environment.

This is really going to help people.

The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by working women in public and private institutions, the government and the decision makers in both public and private institutions.

It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:

Inclusion of Maternity and Paternity leave in policy across the private and public sectors.

An efficient structure that deals with workplace harassment from the judiciary, legislature, executive arms of government and the private sector.

Improved labour conditions for women in organizations.

I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.

- A comprehensive policy on work place harassment being passed by state legislature.
- When other organizations take part in implementing solutions to make the workplace equitable for women.
-When 70% of the corporate organisations in the state implement paternity and maternity leave policies for all their employees.
-Where the discussion on equity in the workplace for women is a part of the culture.

Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
