Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to advocate an equitable workforce policy that would consider the biological and social construct together to ensure that young parents: both men and women can leverage to provide parenthood responsibilities without any barriers.
It's all part of making a better world.
There are countries in the world that are already considering the same and promoting their citizen's well being. For a country like Nepal, this would empower the marginalised communities to gain access to education, employability and happy parenthood.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by women. The impact may gradually take place in different phases ranging initially from urban working women, college students and then eventually in rural settings.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Increase in productivity among the workforce
Increase in understanding and undertaking parental responsibilities regardless of sex
Increase in confidence among women to resume work after motherhood
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
A national survey along with Focus Group Discussions and Case Stories will help me to measure success of getting my vision into action.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
