Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want to address the exploitation of the impoverished population in medical research in Nigeria
It's all part of making a better world.
I want help to promote medical research that would target research participants, not because of their socio-economic situation but because they are indispensable in the attainment of the social and scientific goals of the research.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by the vulnerable population, especially, those who are socially and economically impoverished.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Well-defined target participants
Less emphasis on Incentivization as a recruitment strategy
Declassification of the recruitment process
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
Non-therapeutic clinical research, for instance, will involve both those who are wealthy and intelligent and those who are poor and less intelligent. So, the recruitment process won't be based on social or economic status but based on voluntary participation and suitablility.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
