Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
I want a policy environment that supports the sexual reproductive health of young people aged 10-24. A society where young people are empowered with adequate knowledge about their bodies and how to make intelligent decisions as well as access sexual reproductive health services without being limited to some services.
It's all part of making a better world.
A society with youth who are empowered creates an avenue for economic development. With lesser cases of teenage pregnancies or STDs, the young population stays vibrant and focused in school or work. This also spills over to the government as interventions can be directed towards other aspects of the economy. it will definitely make the world a better place.
This is really going to help people.
The impact of my vision will be mainly felt by Reduced vulnerability of adolescents and young people to emerging health issuesyouth aged 10-24 across the country
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
Reduced vulnerability of adolescents and young people to emerging health issues
law and policy environment that upholds the rights of children, adolescents and young people to access comprehensive health information and services and any form of discrimination
increased use of Sexual reproductive health information and services by young people
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
The success of my vision will be measured by these parameters; the implementation of the adolescent policy and inclusion of adolescents and young people in national interventions on health and the number of young people who have received orientation or training about Sexual reproductive health and social accountability
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
