Hi there. Can I tell you what I dream of doing?
Convince Canadian decision-makers to adopt an approach to coordinate foreign direct investment in clean electricity infrastructure in developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
It's all part of making a better world.
Developing countries would have access to clean electricity and skip the stage of fossil fuel in electricity generation. This would in return help them with developing their economy while reducing greenhouse gases.
This is really going to help people.
Citizens in developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America would be the first beneficiaries through the access to clean electricity. It would also help businesses in those developing countries to have access to clean electricity to develop their business.
It's not just about having an idea though - here are the things I know I can achieve:
A strategy to coordinate Canadian foreign direct investment is developed and adopted
A network of potential investors is created
Clean electricity infrastructure are erected in developing countries
I'm going to make this happen, and this is how I know it'll make a difference.
When there will be a sufficient number of countries in one specific region (could this be Africa, Asia or Latin America) with clean electricity infrastructure built with Canadian foreign direct investment to prove that this vision can be successful in order to create a snowball effect to other regions and convince other countries to join.
Thanks for listening to me. Will you help me build a better world?
